This former office block in the Kew Bridge area is being converted into stylish, compact apartments for Paradigm Land's latest Apt Living development. MSMR’s design delivers 213 apartments over four floors, common parts and amenity spaces that bring light and space into the building, framing the outlook to the adjacent Gunnersbury Park.
The design creates average ceiling heights of 3m to give generous volumes. These are combined with an affordable, design-led approach and a palette of contemporary materials. From the entrance of each apartment, a seamless wall of custom-built joinery runs the length of the apartments, providing a neat hideaway for essential utilities.
On the lower levels, the building’s existing car park level is being redeveloped to house a range of residents’ amenities including a gym, lounge, cinema room, meeting spaces, outdoor terrace garden and new car parking garage.
MSMR’s design for the lower floor amenity space keeps the raw concrete aesthetic by exposing the ceiling and roof beams. Timber joinery pieces separate internal spaces, and colourful furniture and feature lighting add warmth.
