LFA Open Studio 2018

LFA Open Studio 2018

Calling all architecture lovers

Planning your route around the London Festival of Architecture in June this year?

We're opening the doors to our studio with an exhibition in response to the LFA's 'Identity' theme. Located a short walk from Waterloo station, our studio is a bright and spacious converted Victorian school building which forms an inspiring backdrop for our creative work. We look forward to welcoming visitors during LFA2018.

Tickets are free but we'd love to know if you coming. Register for free on our Eventbrite page.

Exhibition: Collective Consciousness – A sculptural response to the identity of the city

What defines the identity of the city?

The city is a tapestry of overlapping activities, events and communities. Each inhabitant helps to build its identity and simultaneously, the it shapes people’s use and perception of space. As inhabitants of Waterloo, we will be exploring our local area and its surrounding context.

Each member of the practice will model a piece of townscape based on their own personal impression of that place. These models will then be pieced together to form a sculptural tapestry of the city, one which is unique to MSMR and the identities of our team. The finished work will be displayed in our courtyard as part of the open studios event.

A selection of our current projects will also be on display inside, with members of our team on hand to talk all things architecture.

When? Fri 22nd June, 10am-4pm. Tickets: Free
